Compact Pressure Regulator

Use of a KIM Module in any pressure regulator makes many new and innovative designs possible. Two are illustrated below.

Firstly, a combined pressure regulator and stop valve mounted on a 0.6 litre, 300 bar Luxfer wrapper cylinder. Push and turn the flanged knob to open the outlet to the Set Pressure. If the knob is backed off, and then, if rotation is continued, the knob, which contains the reaction, can be removed.

Secondly, a proposal for a super compact combined pressure regulator and stop valve, with preset fixed Output Pressure. The stop valve is located in the neck of the cylinder. Rotation of the pressure regulator opens or closes the flow of gas.

These designs are ideally suitable for use with portable oxygen systems, such as Oxygen for Resuscitation or Personable Therapy equipment.
