Introduction

The design experience of F.X.KAY extends back over 60 years, to the very start of Industrial pneumatics. These designs and ideas have always been concerned with evolving new ways, innovation, simple forms, and simple solutions.

This Web Site is aimed at the spreading of ideas, and the hope of stimulating discussion and, perhaps, mutually useful commercial interest, so, what we show is primarily for that purpose, but there is also, hopefully, a useful Educative element.

With the passing of the years, many of the previously 'rejected' designs are coming into their own. Therefore, in parallel with information on current designs, there I a section dealing with 'Vintage Designs' to show solutions, which may be available to any interested parties. Many of these designs, have proved to be well ahead of their time, and this situation may still obtain into the 21st Century, but by airing some of them as now may, perhaps, stimulate new interest. Enquiries will be treated with respect and interest.

In the middle of the 20th Century, when the use of fluid power, and particularly of pneumatics, was expanding, a major contribution to understanding, and dissemination of new knowledge depended upon the lectures, and writings of the Founder of F.X.K. Developments, in the form of books, magazine articles and lectures.
